Within the ServeHER project (No. 101185045 — ERASMUS-SPORT-2024), a series of motivational videos has been released, aiming to inspire and encourage young volleyball players, especially girls aged 16 – 17, to continue their development in volleyball-related professions after the end of their competitive playing careers.
The videos feature members of the volleyball community who share their personal stories, professional journeys, and perspectives on the opportunities that sport offers beyond the court. Through real-life examples and inspiring messages, the videos highlight that a future in volleyball can continue in roles such as coach, club manager, statistician, analyst, or sports leader.
The main objectives of the motivational video series are to:
- raise awareness of dual career opportunities in sport;
- counteract the early dropout of young athletes from organised sport;
- encourage young people to remain connected to volleyball even after their active sporting careers.
